Man strangles daughter to death in Alappuzha; family tried to cover up murder

ALAPPUZHA: A man was arrested by police in Omanapuzha in Alappuzha for brutally murdering his daughter. Angel Jasmine (28) died last night, and the family tried to cover up the murder by wrongly informing neighbours that the young woman died of a heart attack. However, neighbours doubted foul play and demanded that the body undergo a postmortem. Later, the police were informed.

When questioned by the police, Jismon confessed to the crime. He admitted strangling his daughter with a rope to death. Angel had been living with her parents for some time following a dispute with her husband. The police are investigating further details regarding the young woman's murder.
