ERNAKULAM: A 15-year-old girl who went missing from Kolanchery was found in Vijayawada. The Assam native girl has been missing since the fourth of October. Police arrested Chander Kumar (21), a native of West Champaran, Bihar, in connection with the incident.
The 15-year-old girl was found during an investigation conducted by the Puthankurish police based on the complaint. A special team under the supervision of Ernakulam District Police Chief Dr. Vaibhav Saxena conducted the investigation.
The young man befriended the girl through Instagram and lured her to join him at Vijayawada. The girl reached Ernakulam by bus and later took a train alone to reach Vijayawada. Throughout the train journey, the girl communicated with the accused by using the phones of her fellow passengers. The youngster had advised the girl to leave her phone at home to avoid police tracking her.
After meeting the girl at Vijayawada, the youngster switched off his phone but the police easily located the hiding spot through their scientific investigation. As per reports, the minor girl has been lured into copulation several times at the accused’s hometown. It was no easy task for police as the ghetto where the accused lived was infamous for its criminal records. However, the girl was safely rescued from the spot in a sheer show of commitment and bravery.
