MLA Uma Thomas shifted from ICU, recuperating well

KOCHI: Uma Thomas MLA, who suffered serious injuries in a fatal fall from a podium at Kaloor, was shifted from the ICU to the normal ward. Doctors at Renai Medicity said MLA's health was improving and she has been recently talking with her relatives for a long time.

MLA was able to walk with assistance and will now get into treatment including physiotherapy. The hospital authorities also stated that visitors will not be allowed due to the possibility of infection. Through her official Facebook page, the admin informed that the MLA talked with her staff members for a long time.

On the evening of December 29, Uma Thomas fell from the stage during the mega dance event organized by Mridanga Vision. The MLA fell from a height of about 20 feet and was in a critical stage for the next four days.
