THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It will take more than a week to fix the fault of the British Navy fighter jet that made an emergency landing at the Thiruvananthapuram airport. Two engineers who arrived the other day have not been able to fix the technical snag. It is reported that experts from Britain will arrive soon to fix the serious fault in the hydraulic system.
The hydraulic system malfunctioned during the emergency landing due to low fuel. The plane is likely to be shifted to the Air India hangar for repairs. The F-35B fighter jet, which took off from the British Navy aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales, which was traveling in the Indo-Pacific region, landed in Thiruvananthapuram last Saturday.
