Murder case accused hacks 17-year-old girl for blocking his number

PALAKKAD: A youth was arrested for attacking a 17-year-old girl, who is his relative. Ottapalam native Muhammad Firoz (25) is the accused. The police informed that the girl had blocked Firoz’s mobile number and that led to the attack.

The incident happened yesterday evening. The girl was attacked on her way home. The accused came on a scooter and hacked the girl with a knife. The girl who is seriously injured is undergoing treatment at Thrissur Medical College.

It is reported that the girl had injuries on her neck, head, left arm and shoulder. Firoz is the accused in another murder case. An attempt to murder case has been registered against him.
