KOCHI: In light of the recent national highway collapse, the amicus curiae has recommended that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) formulate a proper disaster management plan. The recommendation was included in a report submitted to the High Court, which also urged that the plan be prepared in a time-bound manner.
The High Court Division Bench, in an interim order, directed the central government to file an affidavit in response to the Amicus Curiae's report. The court also instructed the central government to clarify whether a plan has been prepared to address challenges during the monsoon season.
