KOCHI: Rapper Vedan (Hiran Das Murali) approached the High Court seeking cancellation of his bail conditions in the sexual assault case. Vedan has approached the court seeking permission to travel to countries such as Sri Lanka, Dubai, Qatar, France, and Germany from this month to December.

Vedan moved with an appeal as the bail conditions of the Ernakulam Sessions Court prohibit him from leaving the country. Meanwhile, the police withdrew the notice asking the woman to appear to provide a statement on the sexual assault complaint filed against the rapper. Although the police have the authority to summon her, the woman approached the High Court seeking cancellation of the notice to prevent the leak of personal information. The notice was subsequently withdrawn. Justice C. Pradeep Kumar sought an explanation from the police.

The notice had demanded the woman appear before the Ernakulam Central Police Station SHO and give a statement. However, when the case was considered today, the police informed that they were withdrawing the notice. The High Court had granted anticipatory bail to Vedan in another case of rape on the promise of marriage.
