'Neurosurgeon' arrives at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College; security personnel arrest 'lady doctor'

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A woman who came to the medical college disguised as a doctor has been arrested. She was caught by the hospital security staff. The woman entered the super speciality block under the pretext of being a neurosurgeon. Initial information is that she is a native of Perunna. She has also given a statement that she lives in Peroorkada.

The woman arrived at the hospital this morning, wearing a stethoscope. The security staff, who were suspicious of her behaviour as a senior neurosurgeon, informed the authorities. After checking the CCTV footage, it became clear that she had been roaming around in places including the canteen. She went missing in the meantime. The female security staff caught the woman later, when she tried to escape by sneaking into an autorickshaw in front of the multi-speciality block in disguise.

The Medical College Police have registered a case in the incident. The real name of the woman is not known. She has been using several aliases. Although she said that her husband works at Sree Chitra, such a person has not been found. The motive behind her visit to the hospital in disguise is still unclear. The police said that the interrogation is in progress.
