New turning point in Palluruthy murder case; lover’s husband held

KOCHI: A crucial turning point in the case of the death of a youth under mysterious circumstances in Palluruthy. The police have concluded that the incident is a murder. The main accused is the husband of the youth’s lover. The police suspect that his girlfriend is also involved in the murder. The arrested is Shihas and his wife Shahnaz.

The incident happened on Monday night when the youth identified as Ashiq was taken to Ernakulam General Hospital by his girlfriend Shahnaz with a leg injury. Ashiq had died by then. The police have found that the reason for the murder was a feud over Ashiq's relationship with the woman.

The police collected evidence, including blood-stained shoes, from the spot of the crime. Both are presently in police custody. The police said that they have confessed to the crime. The investigation is ongoing to find out if more people are involved in the incident.
