MALAPPURAM: UDF candidate from Nilambur, Aryadan Shoukath, will file his nomination papers today at 11 am. After offering prayers at the K Karunakaran memorial in Thrissur this morning, Shoukath returned to Nilambur. Shoukath exulted confidence and said that a landslide victory in Nilambur is just a matter of time for UDF, no matter who the opposition candidate is.
“Anvar’s issue is up to the senior leaders of UDF to comment. The party is working on ways to help UDF script an election victory in Nilambur that nearly equals or surpasses what my father achieved. In the history of Nilambur, only two candidates have contested in party symbol from here." said Shoukath.
Meanwhile, Left Front Candidate M Swaraj is expected to reach the constituency today. Left Front workers have decided to give a grand welcome to Swaraj, who will arrive at Nilambur railway station at 10:30 am. Swaraj's road show has also been scheduled in the constituency afternoon.
Meanwhile, the announcement of the NDA candidate in the constituency is being delayed.
