No announcement causing religious disharmony, T P Ramakrishnan replies to EC

KOZHIKODE: LDF candidate T P Ramakrishnan has replied to the Election Commission in connection with the announcement controversy. The LDF convener informed the Election Commission that he did not violate the rules and did not make an announcement that would cause religious disharmony.

T P Ramakrishnan replied to League's complaint that the Left candidate is seeking votes by making an announcement in a jeep in Perambra that incites religious hatred. Meantime, T P Ramakrishnan had earlier clarified that the LDF has no allegation that UDF candidate Fathima Thahiliya is seeking votes in the name of religion. He had also informed that the Left party did not file such a complaint with the Election Commission.

Ramakrishnan had clarified that the number plates of vehicles used for campaigning can be produced as evidence and that pen drives can also be provided in the announcement controversy.
