KOCHI: The family has demanded a CBI investigation in the death of ADM Naveen Babu. Don’t have any trust in the present police investigation. His family said they don’t think that an effective investigation will be there in the case in which a CPM leader is an accused. In this situation, the family demands a CBI probe. Naveen Babu's wife filed a plea in the Kerala High Court.
The family is not satisfied with the police investigation. If the state police investigate, many things will not come out. Many are releasing many stories related to the incident. A CPM leader is the accused in the case.
They have great influence in the government. This may affect the investigation of the case. A fair investigation is needed in this regard. In the present situation, it is not expected from the state police. To get justice, an investigation by central agencies is needed. The plea filed said that a proper investigation is needed against the culprits. Naveen Babu's family filed the plea Tuesday afternoon. The high court is likely to consider the plea tomorrow or the day after.
CCTV footage should be preserved
The family had earlier filed a plea in the Thalassery court seeking preservation of the phone call records of the Kannur District Collector and pump owner Prasanthan, as well as CCTV footage, including that of the collectorate. It was also stated in this plea that if the case is investigated by other agencies at any stage, there are chances to lose the evidence.
