November 22 declared holiday: Educational institutions and government offices to remain closed

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A local holiday has been declared on November 22, the first day of the annual Uroos festival at the Beemapally Dargah Shareef. The District Collector announced that the holiday applies to all educational institutions and state government offices within the Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation limits, except local self-government institutions and government offices involved in the election work. The holiday will not apply to previously scheduled public examinations. The Beemapally Uroos festival will be held from November 22 to December 2.
