One missing after boat capsizes in Kottayam; search intensifies 

KOTTAYAM: One person is missing after a boat capsized at Kattikkunnu in Vaikom. The one missing is Kannan of Panavally. Search is being intensified for him.

The boat that was going from Kattikkunnu to Panavally capsized. There were about twenty people on the boat. The remaining 19 have been rescued. The boat was carrying people who were returning after attending a funeral at Thuruthel near Chembu. It was a covered boat that capsized.

The three injured have been shifted to the hospital. The boat capsized not far from the shore. The rescue operation is being led by locals, fire force and police.
