Operation Golden Shadow: 13 hours search to investigate Sabarimala gold theft; documents taken from Murari Babu's house

KOTTAYAM: The Enforcement Directorate's search at the house of Murari Babu, who was arrested in the Sabarimala gold robbery case, has ended. The search, which began in the morning, lasted 13 hours. In addition, the ED has also completed the search conducted at Smart Creations in Chennai. The ED has taken into custody Murari Babu's asset information documents, his wife's and son's bank transaction records, vehicle records, and documents related to the construction of the house during the search conducted at the house in Kottayam.

ED raids were conducted today at 21 locations in three states in connection with the Sabarimala gold heist. Searches are continuing at the homes of Unnikrishnan Potty, Padmakumar and N Vasu. SIT inspections were also conducted at various locations including Sabarimala. The raid conducted by ED today is known as Operation Golden Shadow. The aim of the operation is to find out the extent of money laundering behind the Sabarimala gold heist. Raids were conducted at four places in Thiruvananthapuram, including the Devaswom Board headquarters. The ED informed Devaswom Board President K Jayakumar about this.
