VAGAMON: The natives of Vagamon, Idukki, were in a panic after a fake bomb exploded during the shooting of the film. The incident took place between 5:30 and 6 am on Friday. The explosion took place in the factory area of Vagamon. The set built in the model of a building burst into shreds, which left the nearby locals in panic.
The explosion came with a loud noise that shook the locality. People ran out of their homes in panic, mistaking it for an earthquake. It was only later that news reached that the explosion was part of the shooting of a movie starring Suresh Gopi. The panicked locals protested for not letting them know in advance of the plan. Meanwhile, the police clarified that the explosion scene was filmed without their permission. It is reported that the crew left the location immediately after filming this scene. The shooting of this movie had been going on in and around Vagamon for a few days.
The crew members have reportedly told a few of the locals not to make a big fuss out of the incident and rather take it as a joke.
