MALAPPURAM: Following the Plus One Seat Crisis in Malabar, protests were held today in Kozhikode and Malappuram under the leadership of SFI and KSU. A huge clash broke out during the march organised by the KSU towards the Kozhikode Commissioner's office. SFI also announced that it will launch a strong strike if the current crisis is not resolved soon.

A verbal dispute took place between the police and the MSF activists during the protest strike organised by the MSF in Malappuram. The protests took place in front of the Education Department offices in Malappuram and Kozhikode.

SFI All India President VP Sanu also demanded that the issue be resolved immediately by allowing additional batches.

"I have submitted a petition to Education Minister V Sivankutty in this regard. The minister has assured that the matter will be resolved soon. It is a reality that there are not enough seats for students in the Malabar region. Students of the region are facing difficulties in studying the courses of their choice," Sanu said.

Sanu also demanded a judicial probe into the issue of the NEET-UF 2024 question paper leak.

"Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan should take moral responsibility and resign. The National Testing Agency should be dissolved and the students who appeared for the test should be compensated," he said.
