Police kept on edge for an hour; Missing toddler found beneath bedsheet in Kalpetta

WAYANAD: Tensions brewed in Kalpetta after a toddler who was playing in front of her house went missing during the morning hours of Tuesday. The police and locals searched the surrounding areas while the media too entered the fray to give live reports of the incident.

The police were informed about the child's missing at around 11 am today. Later, the Kalpetta police and locals reached the spot and started an investigation. However, the heightened tension among family members morphed into relief after the child was found beneath the heap of clothes inside the bedroom of the same house.

Evil thoughts that cloud the mind and similar cases in the recent past must have made the family jump to a conclusion about the toddler’s missing. While running amok, the family members might have given up searching inside the house believing that the child was somewhere else.
