THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the postponement of the execution of Nimisha Priya, who was sentenced to death in Yemen, is both comforting and filled with hope. He noted that this delay has provided Nimisha with more time to seek relief from the sentence. He credited this development largely to the initiative and intervention of Kanthapuram A.P. Aboobacker Musliyar.

The Chief Minister described the decision as the result of tireless efforts by compassionate and humane individuals. He congratulated Kanthapuram, the Action Council and all others involved working for justice for Nimisha Priya. The Chief Minister also expressed his hope that everyone's expectations and efforts will lead to a complete and speedy success.
