PATHANMTHITTA: Indian President Droupadi Murmu may visit Sabarimala on the 18th and 19th of this month. The Devaswom Board began preparations after reports of receiving a formal letter from Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday.

The President will likely arrive at the Nilakkal helipad on the 18th, and will reach Pamba by road and then trek the holy hills. The virtual queue system for devotees has been suspended on the 18th and 19th. The Public Works Department and the Devaswom Board have started road maintenance from Nilakkal to Chalakayam and from Chalakayam to Pamba Triveni.

Construction of two more comfortable and secure rooms has begun at the Devaswom Guest House in Sannidhanam. Cleaning, maintenance and beautification work is progressing rapidly in Pamba, Sharanapatha and Sannidhanam.

As per reports, the president of India will leave Kerala only on the 19th of this month after having darshan at the holy hills.

The Central Army visited the Sannidhanam and inspected the security arrangements. The Devaswom Board is responsible for arranging security and accommodation for the President's arrival.
