KOCHI: The first prize of all seven daily lotteries has been increased to one crore rupees. The price of all tickets has been increased to Rs 50. The names of four lotteries have also been changed. The minimum prize has been reduced from Rs 100 to Rs 50. The new tickets will go on sale in the first week of May. The reform is aimed at making the lotteries more attractive and increasing revenue. Only the Rs 50 Fifty Fifty lottery, which is drawn on Wednesdays, had a prize of one crore rupees. The other tickets were priced at Rs 40.
96 lakh fifty-fifty tickets and 1.8 crore tickets of other categories were printed earlier. Now, 1.8 crore tickets from all categories will be printed. The number of those on demand will be increased.
