KOCHI: The Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) has responded to the controversies on the release of Suresh Gopi starrer ‘Janaki Vs State of Kerala’ (JSK). General Secretary B Unnikrishnan told media that the producers of the film are very worried and there is uncertainty over the release of the film. He added that it would not be surprising if the name of the film is changed under pressure.
Meantime, the censor board revising committee is firm in their stand to change Janaki from the title. Director Praveen Narayanan said yesterday that the censor board had informed that it would not grant permission for the film to be released without changing the name.
The director announced via Facebook that the revising committee had also asked to change Janaki from the title and the character name. The film's crew had approached the high court citing non-granting of permission to release the film. The censor board informed the court that the revising committee has decided to watch the film again and evaluate it. The case will be considered again tomorrow.
