THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A protest by the Students Federation of India (SFI) at the Kerala University headquarters turned violent on Tuesday. The protestors surrounded the university headquarters and barged into the Senate Hall. The activists came shouting slogans against the Governor and Chancellor Rajendra Arlekar. The activists forced their way into the VC's office.
Some entered through the windows of the university building and opened the doors. The others were let in through this way. The SFI activists stormed the administrative block inside the campus. The activists are being forcibly removed from the spot in police buses. The activists are still protesting by squatting on the steps of the university. Although top police officers are present, they are unable to control them.
