THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: While addressing the function arranged to felicitate Mohanlal, veteran filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan said he never had a chance to collaborate with the Dadasaheb Phalke award winner. Adoor said he was extremely proud and respectful of Mohanlal's talents. The filmmaker was speaking at the "Abhimanam Vaanolam Lal Salaam" programme organised by the state government to honour Phalke Award winner Mohanlal.

ADOOR GOPALAKRISHNAN:

"When I received the Phalke Award two decades ago, there were no celebrations, public events or expressions of respect like this. When Mohanlal received his first National Award for Best Actor, I was the chairman of the jury. I am proud and happy about it. Lal is a reflection of every Malayali, and he is loved by everyone.”

Adoor said Mohanlal would continue to amaze audiences for decades to come with his inimitable talent, and he wished the actor all success.
