THRISSUR: Tripunithura School of Fundamental Research in Ayurveda is on a mission to bust the negative propaganda against Ayurvedic medicines now rampant on social media. Research on Ayurvedic Rasayanas' prowess to regenerate cells, fight diseases, and their possible side effects is being noted. Once this is completed, research will also be conducted on medicines, including Asava Arishtam.
The study report will be made available to the public. The results of the research on Rasayanas will be submitted within two years. The findings suggest that Chyavanaprasam and Lehyas can be used to cure diseases, including infectious diseases and cancer.
The mission was undertaken by the School of Fundamental Research in Ayurveda, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, CSIR National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology, Advanced Centre for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research in Cutaneous Biology in the Department of Zoology, University of Kerala, and Government Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram.
