Rahul Gandhi pays floral tributes to Oommen Chandy, inaugurates Smrithi Sangamam

PUTHUPALLY: Lok Sabha opposition leader Rahul Gandhi paid floral tributes to former chief minister Oommen Chandy at his grave on his second death anniversary. He later visited the St George Orthodox Church in Puthuppally. Rahul also inaugurated the Oommen Chandy Smrithi Sangamam organized by the KPCC. He handed over the keys of 12 houses built by the Oommen Chandy Foundation and inaugurated the charitable activities of the KPCC.


The memorial meeting was presided over by KPCC chief Sunny Joseph. AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal, General Secretary in charge of Kerala Deepadas Munshi, opposition leader V D Satheesan, Congress Working Committee members, religious leaders, KPCC Political Affairs Committee members, office bearers, Kottayam DCC President Nattakam Suresh, MPs, MLAs, former ministers and other leaders were present.
