PATHANAMTHITTA: Rahul Mamkootathil, who was produced before the magistrate after a medical examination in the third rape case, has been remanded. The Pathanamthitta District Magistrate Court has remanded him for 14 days. He will be shifted to Mavelikkara Special Jail.

The police brought Rahul out of the hospital in a very daring manner. Rahul had filed a bail plea, but the magistrate court had rejected it. DYFI and Yuva Morcha activists are staging protests against Rahul. The situation is that they are protesting by following Rahul. Protesters tried to manhandle him when he was entering the hospital for a medical examination.

Earlier some Youth Congress activists accompanied him when Rahul was produced in the court. However, this time, neither his supporters nor any leaders were with him at the A R Camp or at the time of his medical examination or when he was produced before the magistrate.
