THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rain alert continues in the state on Saturday. Yellow alert is continuing in Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod. These districts are on yellow alert tomorrow. Although there are no severe and extreme rain warnings at present, it is suggested that caution should not be compromised. Heavy rain is likely to continue at isolated places, especially in northern districts.

Extreme caution should be exercised in areas that have experienced heavy rains in recent days. People should move away from areas prone to landslides, mudslides and flash floods. There is a possibility of high waves on the Kerala coast tomorrow. There is also warning of Kallakadal phenomenon. A low-pressure area is prevailing from Kerala coast to south Gujarat coast.

Alert
1. As the rough seas are likely to intensify, stay away from the dangerous areas as per the instructions of the authorities.

2. Keep fishing vessels safely moored in the harbour. Keeping a safe distance between boats can avoid the possibility of collision. The safety of fishing equipment should be ensured.

3. Avoid trips to the beach and activities at sea completely.
