CHENNAI: Superstar `Talaiva' Rajinikanth has made a sensational statement in Chennai on Friday by announcing that he is going to contest TN Assembly elections. Addressing media outside his residence, he said that in case the government fails to get a majority and gets dissolved after 23 May, he will contest the elections.
"Whenever Assembly election comes we will contest"-he added. When media asked him about his plans for launching a new party, he said that he would decide after 23 May, but will not disappoint fans. When he was asked to comment on huge amount cash that is being recovered by EC and IT people in Tamil Nadu from different political party leaders and others, Rajinikanth said that EC is working definitely good and he is not going to comment on it.
