Regional holiday for government and educational institutions on November 3

PATHANAMTHITTA: As part of the Parumala Perunnal in Pathanamthitta, a regional holiday has been granted to all government offices and educational institutions in Mavelikkara and Chengannur taluks on Monday, November 3. However, this order does not apply to public examinations.

Meantime, a government-level consultation meeting was held under the chairmanship of Health Minister Veena George in connection with the 123rd anniversary of Parumala Thirumeni. The meeting decided to coordinate the activities of various departments in connection with the festival, strictly follow the green rules and make extensive arrangements.

It was directed to run special KSRTC services from various depots, ensure drinking water supply with the cooperation of the panchayat, and immediately complete the repairs of roads and bridges. Necessary steps will be taken to replace the street lights. A special police control room will be set up during the festival days. The meeting also decided to prepare an ambulance service by the health department and prepare a special medical team.
