Road tarring in heavy rains; Locals chase away workers in Thrissur

THRISSUR: Road tarring in Thrissur in the heavy rains. Tarring started on Marar Road under the corporation limits during heavy rains. There is a red alert in the district today. Mayor M K Varghese directed to stop the tarring after locals recorded and circulated the visuals.

Despite the good weather in the past few days, no one had come to tar the roads. The roads were tarred in the heavy rains that were lashing. The visuals of locals talking angrily to the workers have also emerged. The rains that lashed today was the heaviest witnessed this year. Tarring is being done while water was flowing through the road. The locals reacted strongly against the Thrissur Corporation.
