PATHANAMTHITTA: Reports say the rush in Sabarimala is under control. There is no long queue in Sannidhanam despite light rain. Spot booking will continue to be at 5000 today. The authorities had the other day said the number of people who can visit Sannidhanam through spot booking will be restricted as per the rush of the day.

The Kerala High Court imposed strict restrictions following the uncontrolled rush of pilgrims in Sannidhanam on November 18. 90,000 people were allowed to visit Sabarimala daily, including 70,000 through virtual queue booking and 20,000 through spot booking.

The rush was caused after people booking through virtual queue arriving without following the schedule, the increase in the number of people arriving through spot booking and the failure of the police in controlling. Following this, the court had fixed the spot booking limit at 5,000. The spot booking centres in Pampa have been closed. Presently, pilgrims who arrive without a virtual queue are allowed to visit through spot booking through seven counters set up in Nilakkal.
