THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is likely to summon people including the first accused Unnikrishnan Potty, released on bail in the Sabarimala gold theft case, next week. The decision is to summon them after collecting full information. This will delay the arrest of the accused in the Sabarimala gold theft case in ED’s investigation.

The ED examined the documents of Potty's financial transactions in detail. The financial transactions from 2017 to 2025 were examined. The ED also received details of the purchase of lands, including in Thiruvananthapuram. The ED has already frozen Potty's assets worth Rs 1.3 crore. The ED had questioned Murari Babu, out on bail in the case and the sixth accused in the case and former administrative officer S Sreekumar yesterday.

Meantime, the special investigation team will question Unnikrishnan Potty again today. This is to clarify Potty's investments and connections to prepare a chargesheet. Potty was questioned from yesterday morning to evening.
