School bus loses control in Venganoor, crashes into wall; students injured

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Four students sustained injuries after a school bus lost control and crashed into a wall in Venganoor. The bus involved in the accident belonged to Venganoor VPS Malankara School. None of the injuries is serious.

The bus was travelling from Vizhinjam to Venganoor when it met with the accident at Kalluvettankuzhy. Upon losing control, the bus crashed into a wall near the bus stop and an electric post. A major tragedy was averted as there was no one waiting at the bus stop. The glass on the front of the bus was completely destroyed.

The locals rushed to the spot after hearing the loud cries of the children. Following this, they called ambulances for help and rushed the children to the hospital. Some parents alleged that the bus driver used to drive at high speed.
