Second phase of Agnipath recruitment rally begins in Kollam, over 25,000 registrations for Agniveer post

KOLLAM: Indian Army's Agnipath recruitment rally for southern districts has begun at t Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium in Kollam. The rally will last till November 24. Only candidates from Thiruvananthapuram to Idukki registered online can participate in the rally.

Kollam District Collector Afsana Parveen flagged off the rally in the presence of Army Recruitment Bangalore Zone DDG Brigadier AS Valimbe and the District Police Commissioner. This is the second phase of the Agnipath recruitment rally in Kerala. Recruitment is also being done for various posts like Agniveer, nursing assistant, religious studies teacher etc. As part of the recruitment rally, the accommodation and all other arrangements at the stadium were arranged under the supervision of the district administration.

A total of 25367 candidates have registered online for Agniveer post. Out of this, 2000 candidates have been called on the first day of the rally. On the first day, there will be a physical fitness test and those passing it will undergo a medical examination.

The recruitment rally for various posts like nursing Assistant, religious studies teacher will be held from November 26 to 29. Around 11500 candidates are registered in these categories. The final fitness test of the rally will be held on November 28 and the final medical on November 29.

The aspirants will have to produce the original documents along with the admit card received through e-mail after registering online. Meanwhile, officials warn to be wary of fake recruitment promises. It is also advised to report such persons to the police station or army unit.
