Seven injured in lorry-car collision; accident while returning from Guruvayur

THRISSUR: Seven people suffered injuries in a collision between a lorry and a car at Thalikulam in the district. The injured are Monish, Molly, Akhil, Adarsh, Radhakrishnan, Harsha and Akshima, natives of Thiruvananthapuram. The victims were returning after offering darshan at Guruvayur temple.

The accident happened near the Thalikulam High School around 3:30 am Friday morning. A lorry carrying goods from Pune collided with the car. The front portion of the car was completely damaged in the accident. The injured were admitted to a private hospital in Thrissur. Reports said four of them are in the ICU. The locals’ said accidents are quite common in the area.
