Sexual assault during selection screening for IFFK: P T Kunju Muhammed will be questioned soon

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police will soon question director P T Kunju Muhammed in the sexual harassment complaint by film worker. The police, who collected CCTV footage from the hotel mentioned in the complaint, found that the complainant and Kunju Muhammed were in the hotel at the time mentioned in the complaint. The confidential statement of the complainant will also be recorded before the magistrate soon.

The Chief Minister's Office received the complaint against CPM colleague and former MLA Kunju Muhammed on November 27. It was handed over to the police on December 2. There have also been allegations that the complaint of insulting femininity was handed over to the police late. The incident took place on November 6 during the selection of Malayalam films for the 30th International Film Festival, which begins on December 13. PT Kunju Muhammed was the chairman of the selection committee for Malayalam films at the film festival. The complainant was a member of the committee. The jury members were staying at a hotel in the capital. The complaint is that Kunju Muhammed came to the room and behaved in an indecent manner when they returned to the hotel after the screening.
