Sexual harassment allegation against Rahul Mamkootathil: Woman IPS officer included in investigation team, officer speaks with woman who underwent abortion

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A woman IPS officer has been included in the investigation team probing the sexual harassment case against Rahul Mamkootathil MLA. It is reported that the officer has spoken to the victim over the phone.

So far, the woman, who underwent an abortion, has not filed a complaint against Rahul Mamkootathil. The case currently rests on statements from third parties. Although investigators had earlier approached the woman to record her statement, she was unwilling to testify or file a complaint against Rahul. It was in this context that an IPS officer was brought into the probe team.
