KOZHIKODE: The SSLC results of the six students accused in the Thamarassery Shahabaz murder case have not been published. Their SSLC exam results have been withheld as they are accused in the case. Allowing them to write the SSLC exam had earlier created a big controversy. Student and youth organisations had strongly protested at the exam centres.
The High Court had rejected the bail plea of the accused a few days ago. The bail plea was rejected, stating that there would be a security threat and a law and order problem if the students were released. The court had earlier observed that the allegations against the accused were serious. They are currently in the Vellimadukunnu Observation Home. The bail plea had earlier been rejected by the Kozhikode Principal Sessions Court and the Juvenile Justice Board.
Muhammed Shahabaz (15), son of Iqbal of Thamarassery Chungam Pullarikunnu, who was undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in a clash between students, died on February 28.
