SIT to demand special prosecutors in Sabarimala gold theft case

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) is all set to demand special prosecutors in the Sabarimala gold theft case. The SIT will hand over a panel of two-members. Lokayukta Prosecutor Chandrasekharan Nair and Vigilance Special GP A Rajesh are on the list. The SIT wants legal assistance from prosecutors to prepare the chargesheet. A decision will be taken after informing the Kerala High Court. The possibility of appointing separate special prosecutors in the door frames and Dwarapalaka frames cases will also be sought. Prominent lawyers, including two former high court judges, are appearing for the defence.
