Six killed in Kasargod as speeding bus rams into waiting shed due to faulty brakes

KASARGOD: Six people were killed after a speeding bus from Karnataka rammed into a bus waiting shed. Four of the dead are natives of Karnataka. There are reports that some sustained injuries in the accident. The bus involved in the accident is that of Karnataka RTC. The initial conclusion is that faulty brakes led to the accident.


The accident happened at Thalappady on the Kerala-Karnataka border. Eyewitnesses said the speeding bus lost control and rammed into the waiting shed.

The bus coming from Mangalore to Kasaragod also hit some vehicles, including an auto. It is not clear how many passengers were on board.
