KOTTAYAM: To prevent wild animals from entering the country and killing people, the government should shoot them dead, sell the meat, and solve the financial crisis, says Chairman of Kerala Janapaksham (Secular) PC George. Environmentalists who oppose it must be slapped across the face, he added. George pointed out that the meat of wild animals that cause trouble are sold like this in other countries.
PC George also alleged that the state government is trying to tap the carbon fund worth crores of rupees by turning Idukki district into a complete forest. In the last four years, 105 people have died in elephant attacks. George also demanded that Idukki district should be handed over to Tamil Nadu to save the farmers of the district and the Mullaperiyar Dam.
