THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Devaswom Minister V N Vasavan said the words of sponsor Unnikrishnan Potty, who played a drama by hiding the peedam (pedestal) of Dwarapalaka idols in Sabarimala and then saying that it had gone missing, cannot be believed. The minister told media that it is an act of fooling the public. The minister was responding to the finding of the gold pedestal from the sponsor's sister's house the other day.

The Devaswom Vigilance SP will submit a report in the court tomorrow over the missing pedestal. The minister also informed that the government will move forward as per the court's directions. The court itself will find out all the hidden things behind the incident. V N Vasavan responded that he believes that there is a big conspiracy behind this. He said that he will examine why there was no mention about the peedam in the devaswom mahasar and that everything else in Sabarimala is transparent.

Meantime, former devaswom board president A Padma Kumar said that he has no personal relations with Unnikrishnan Potty and let the vigilance investigate the pedestal controversy.
