THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KSEB has said that the power distribution system has been severely damaged due to strong winds and rains across the state. As per the current estimates, 257 high-tension posts and 2,505 low-tension posts have been damaged. The loss in the distribution sector is estimated to be around Rs 26 crore 89 lakh, KSEB said in a Facebook post.

The KSEB's power distribution system has been severely damaged due to strong winds and rains across the state. As per the current estimates, 257 high-tension posts and 2,505 low-tension posts have been damaged. The loss in the distribution sector is estimated to be around Rs 26 crore 89 lakh.

7,12,679 consumers have suffered power outages. Of these, 5,39,976 consumers have already been provided with power supply. Vigorous efforts are being made across the state to resolve the remaining power outages. Respected consumers are requested to cooperate.
