Student under treatment for serious burns succumbs to injuries

KOZHIKODE: A student who was undergoing treatment for serious burns has succumbed to her injuries in Thooneri. She has been identified as Karthika (20) of Kaitheripoyil. She was found with serious burns in her bedroom yesterday evening at 6 pm.

She was immediately rushed to Nadapuram Government Hospital, but her life could not be saved. The police’ preliminary conclusion is that she may have set herself on fire. She was second year BSc Physics student of Mahi Mahatma Gandhi Government College.
