PALAKKAD: The students of class 8th and 9th from Palakkad's Kumaranellur took to the streets to settle matters as they engaged in an ugly fight which has now gone viral on social media. It was the students of Kumaranellur Government Higher Secondary School who battled each other on the streets.

An argument related to the ninth-class students walking through the veranda of the eighth class resulted in the conflict. The altercation started in front of a shop in Kumaranellur Centre and the students while being mired in the fight threw away all the items in the shop and destroyed it completely. The video of the fight has gone viral.

On November 22, some girl students fought each other in Nedumangad bus station, and the video went viral across the internet. The fight was for calling each other their nicknames which triggered one of the students.

However, other students and passers-by encouraged the fight which saw the girls pulling each other’s hair and losing all ounces of decency to exchange expletives. Street fights among students are turning into a new normal in the state with similar cases burgeoning in the recent past.
