Super hit project of KSRTC: Revenue from one district Rs 40 lakh in November alone

KOTTAYAM: Budget Tourism is a one-day travel package run by KSRTC connecting various tourist destinations and pilgrimage centres in Kerala. This project of KSRTC is a hit in most districts. In November alone, KSRTC received Rs. 40 lakh through the Budget Tourism Cell in Kottayam district. This figure includes the figure from the Koothattukulam depot and the Kottayam district.

The Budget Tourism Cell has also prepared a new tourist package in view of the Christmas holidays. Special holiday trips have started from various depots on Sunday. There are trips to tourist destinations such as Ponmudi, Thenmala, Kapukadu, Azhimala, Kovalam, Malakkappara, Chaturangappara, Mamalakandam, Marayoor, Vattavada, Ramakkalmedu, Vagamon and Gavi. Trips have been arranged from seven depots and Koothattukulam. In addition to the one-day package starting at 5 am and ending in the evening, the Budget Tourism Cell is also running a luxury cruise called Nefertiti in Kochi. The package includes bus travel and ship charges. There are also packages such as Sivagiri pilgrimage, Pandalam temple, Kottarakkara Ganapathy temple, and Thiruvairanikulam temple visit.
