After saving five lives, Adv DS Rajesh bids adieu

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Advocate D S Rajesh (53), a native of Jawahar Nagar, Kowdiar, will now live on through five people. Rajesh, who died of a brain haemorrhage the other day, donated his kidneys, liver and two corneas. One kidney and liver were donated to a patient at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram; one kidney to a patient at a private hospital in Kozhikode, and the corneas to patients at the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology.

Rajesh was working as a tax consultant in Thiruvananthapuram. He was admitted to a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram at 10 pm on the 14th after suffering from severe dizziness. On the 17th, Rajesh was declared brain dead, upon which the family members gave consent for organ donation. The organ donation procedures were completed under the leadership of K-SOTTO.

Rajesh is the son of Advocate Sreekumaran and Vatsala Sreekumaran of Jawahar Nagar. His wife is Advocate Aswathy Bose. Daughter: Poornima Rajesh (Plus Two student). Brother: D.S. Kiran. The final rites will be held at Shantikavadam today at 2 pm. Minister Veena George thanked Rajesh's family members for giving consent for organ donation amid going through extreme grief.
