THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that the swearing-in ceremony will take place in the minds of the people of Kerala and not at the central stadium. While He added that the presence of the people has to be curtailed for the ceremony as everyone is obliged to follow the COVID protocol.
The CM said that the government knew that if it was not for these restrictions, the whole of Kerala would have flocked to the Central Stadium. "You are the ones who made this second term possible by giving a historic victory to the Left Democratic Front. You are the ones who have written the verdict so that the welfare development works which were started by the government can be carried forward in the second term. Each one of you is in our minds. There is no stadium beyond that. Due to the COVID pandemic, the elected representatives could not even go back to the people and thank them. The people, on the other hand, were prevented from coming here because of the pandemic. Due to the uniqueness of this situation, we are greeting all of you who wished to attend the swearing-in function," the CM said.
