THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala said that public servants should behave in a dignified manner before the public. He said that Mayor Arya Rajendran and her husband MLA Sachin Dev should have behaved more maturely. He added that they should not have treated the KSRTC employee so mercilessly.

"Everyone who saw the video footage released by the media knows that the KSRTC driver did not commit any mistake. We can only imagine the hardships of KSRTC employees. There was a serious lapse on the part of the police in the incident. The police did not even record the statement of the driver. This is unacceptable," Chennithala said.

Chennithala also responded to the controversies surrounding EP Jayarajan.

"No action will be taken against Jayarajan who has brought such disgrace to the party. This is because Pinarayi Vijayan is afraid of EP Jayarajan. After yesterday's secretariat meeting, Jayarajan came out looking like a winner. The CPM will not take any action against him. This is a political deal made with the knowledge of the Chief Minister," he said.

"A deal is being made to eliminate corruption cases and get rid of corruption cases. The CPM started this deal with the BJP since the last assembly elections. The continuance of rule was BJP's contribution," Ramesh Chennithala added.
